1: Why and how did you become designer?
I have been drawing and painting since I was little..I did not want to limit myself as a just a painter or just an illustrator, so design was the best outlet for me. I can produce whatever is needed for the project..from photography to illustration to design work..when I got to school I knew that the best outlet for me to have total creative freedom would be to enter the design program.
2: When do you usually get the inspiration for your works?
Vintage cartoons, animal shows..and things that happen to me everyday.
3: Could you tell us the process of working on your pieces?
I draw all the time..anytime of day I have a sketchbook with me, so when something hits me or I get inspired I can record it right then and there. When I actually get to the canvas I usually lay down a paper texture and that give me a surface to draw again..so it all goes back to the hand created element from the drawings.
4: What do you feel important when you are working on your pieces?
I want my work to pop..I want it to be noticed when you come into
the room, and I like when people can relate to it.
5: What do you do on your day off?
I do not have many days off..when I am not working on some design or
projects, I usually just relax and draw..some of the best things I
have done come from when I am not trying to make anything..just
relaxing and taking the pressure off
can enable you to do your best work.
6: Are there any places or countries you would like to visit?
I have not gotten to travel much..right after school I came right to
California and started working..and with the everyday hustle didnt
get much time to travel. I have never been to Europe, i would like to
go to Russia, and Japan..so I guess I would just like to travel
more..But if I had to pick one place it would be Easter Island.
7: What is your goal?
To be creative for a living..to have the capability to take something
in my head and create it by any means so the world can see what I see
exactly how I envisioned it.
